Jordan Brand has paid tribute to Michael Jordan's university with the Air Jordan 1 High University Blue. The University Blue colorway has been prominent throughout the history of the Jordan 1. The first Jordan 1 inspired by the University of North Carolina dates back to 1985. Since then, there have been numerous versions of the UNC 1, most recently the Jordan 1 Retro High Fearless UNC To Chicago. Building on its experience, the Jumpman brand is changing registers with this new iteration.

The Air Jordan 1 High University Blue features a white and black full grain leather upper, adorned with blue synthetic leather (Durabuck) reinforcements. True to Jordan 1 tradition, a woven Nike Air label is sewn onto the tongue, and a Wings logo is printed on the ankle. A white midsole and University Blue outsole complete the look.
