The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam 2016 returned for Christmas celebrating its 20th anniversary. It was also the anniversary of the Space Jam movie that gave the model its name.

The silhouette worn by Michael Jordan in the film features a black mesh and patent leather upper contrasted by blue, white accents and an icy translucent outsole.

The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam 2016 has the number 45 embroidered on the heel as on the His Airness PE, instead of the 23 of the 2001 and 2009 editions. In fact, Michael Jordan wore an Air Jordan 11 with the 45 on his return to the court after his first retirement in the 1994-95 NBA season.

In the Eastern Conference semi-finals, he debuted the Air Jordan 11 "Concord", but by Game 4, MJ had switched to the Air Jordan XI Space Jam. He led the Chicago Bulls to victory over Orlando Magic.
